10. Joseph Goebbels would be taking notes from the US if he were alive
Because Goebbels could never get those kinds of numbers without explicit state control over the news media.

Today, this can be done by removing the state from the organ of information dissemination and replacing it with corporate control instead. In this manner, we see that this newer model is more impervious to attacks by critics asserting that we live in an authoritarian environment. How could that possibly be if the news media is not state run and if there are still elections?

The two are intrinsically linked. The people can be made to legitimize the ruling regime through a careful campaign of propaganda by omission by utilizing allies in the corporate sector who control the corporate news outlets. The goal is the same in both the older model and the newer one: Consolidation of power, the silencing of dissent.

The key difference is in methodology. The newer model is far less overt, far more subtle compared to the crude machinations of previous rightwing authoritarian regimes.

It will make it easier for the Corporate M$M to manipulate opinion.

I think that the Corporate Press is publishing bunk because The Average American is beginning to wake up to the fact that WE, The People of The United States, are being lied to by: 1) The Executive Branch; 2) The Republican Congress; and (last but not least); 3) The USA Corporate led M$M news outlets.

IF they can get us to believe that "all other" Americans are stupid, just perhaps they could get by with stealing another election and deluding us some more.

The jig is up. There's far too many alternative and foreign reputable news sources to allow the M$M the POWER to manipulate public opinion.

It's going to get ugly because both the Republicans and The Corporations who pay them off are getting FREAKED OUT by the possibility of losing The House come November.

Why the hell do you think gas prices are down? The super-wealthy oil companies can afford to take a hit in order to ensure that their beloved Republican Lawmakers are re-elected. :puke:

Yes, the payoffs, blackmail and just pure evil political corruption are so thick now, one needs wings to rise above it. :scared:

11. Like the Six Degrees of Separation
or whatever the term is called, where every person can be connected to another via six intermediary:

Saddam used to give the families of Palestinian suicide bombers $25K for each trip to virgins heaven.

When the bin Laden tape was found in Afghanistan, shortly after our troops went there, and he was talking about how the mission succeeded beyond his belief, with the final collapse of the towers, he had one sentence about the "brothers fighting in Palestine."

Sooo if you really want to find a link, you can.

On the other hand, Saddam, like any other dictator, liked to direct his own terror attacks and would not tolerate any competition, including Al Qaeda. Thus, there were no Al Qaeda fighters in Iraq in 2003, and in 2004. Now, of course, there are.

And then, of course, there is the movie Idiocracy that Fox did little to advertise..

17. What do they mean by "connected"?

Did the former Iraqi government have connections to 9/11?

Or, is the American invasion of Iraq connected to 9/11?

Obviously, 9/11 was used to falsely justify the invasion. So if you interpret that question the second way then the answer has to be, "yes".
