Just 4 of 30 pages have been declassified
http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/US_declassifies_small_portion_of_controversial_0926.html

The White House has declassified only a small portion of a government report that many allege states the war in Iraq has made America more vulnerable to terrorism, RAW STORY has learned.

Among some of the assessments in the NIE report are that "Iraq is shaping a new generation of terror leaders," and that the war in Iraq has become "a 'cause celebre' for jihadists."

President Bush had earlier promised to declassify the document to quiet critics.

1. 4 pages.....it seems to me that this will increase the
noise to release the whole document....

America is in danger and they are hiding it....is this not in itself Treason?

3. Quit Your Complaining
He went out of his way to release 4 pages. What will it take to satisfy you liberals? Isn't this enough?

4. People had few problems when just a couple of points
were unofficially released.

Here is one reason for releasing more of it:

"... perceived jihadist success there would inspire more fighters to continue the struggle elsewhere ... Should jihadists leaving Iraq perceive themselves, and be perceived, to have failed, we judge fewer fighters will be inspired to carry on the fight."

Everybody's been going on and on about a couple of points from the key judgments. Apparently less is better than more; whether less is better than all is uncertain, but all is provisionally better than more. In other words, people liked having one or two points leaked; they profoundly dislike having 3-4 pages released, and seem to think having all 30 pages released would be better than having 3-4 pages released. It's unclear if having all 30 pages released is better than having one or two points released.

5. Now's the time on Sprockets when we spin...
We all know what's coming next.

Bush will attempt to inextricable intertwine Iraq with "the war on terror."

Junior does nothing without a reason. The information in those de-classified pages was
released with the express purpose of convincing Americans that Iraq is the "central front
on the war on terror" and that pulling out would be death, mayhem and Al Queda showing
up on our doorsteps.

That's what Junior is doing--by releasing this additional information.

We're all supposed to IGNORE the fact that it was Junior's lies, poor planning and
ridiculous failures that cultivated terrorism in Iraq. That won't be discussed. What we
will hear repeatedly is that---it's official, as per the CIA document--Iraq is now the
epicenter of jihad-ism and the location of a new generation of terrorists.

Junior always tried to make the argument that Iraq was connected to 9/11. It stuck
for a while, then people started wising up. Junior will use the released information
to convince the public that ending the war (a central 06 Dem message) is equivalent to
running from the terrorists.
