Is this video clip really on Fox News? Yep, right here on the homepage in the "FNC iMag" lifestyle video section, and its a video segment labelled "Campus Hookups." And in this segment, FNC "relationship expert" Marie Forleo offers advice incoming college coeds about dating and sex, including but not limited to go out and meet people in bars, try not to sleep with your professors, and go ahead and have a lot of sex. Seriously.
snip:
"Don't hook up with a guy if you're sloppy drunk or he's sloppy drunk. You're just going to find yourself doing the walk of shame the next morning and that's not cute." Good advice, to be sure, but do Fox viewers really want the network condoning the possibility of getting sloppy drunk? And what is this "hooking up" of which she speaks? The reality-based community is a scary, scary place. Note accompanying graphic, which forever labels some poor girl walking along a shady street with the word "SHAME."
"There's tons of ways to meet people...of course you can do it at frat parties and bars, and it's never a bad time because that's the point of your life when you're all gonna do that." Onscreen, bodies gyrate, wineglasses are saucily brought to smacking lips, and a pint glass is drained. You can almost hear the "Who's your daddy?" in the background.
"Do your best to stay away from your professors. I know some of them can be cute but let's not go there." Again, good advice...but kind of weird to put it out there as just another run-of-the-mill temptation.
