Obama believes in theocracy. I despise theocracy. Obama believes that gay people should have less rights than all other citizens. I despise people who believe that gay people should have less rights than all other citizens. Obama believes that my political party must compete for the support of evangelicals. I despise people who think my party must compete for the support of evangelicals. Obama believes national politics should be a religious game. I despise people who believe national politics should be a religious game.

Now, the big question: Why doesn't dannofoot despise Obama's religious bigotry? And why is dannofoot compelled to avoid the truth in defense of hatred? And, perhaps most importantly, why is dannofoot hate baiting?

I ask someone why they use a hateful word like "despise"...and Bingo! I'm a Freeper! Hope your knee didn't hit you too hard..."Hate-baiting?" You used the word "despise" against a decent human being, not me.

I despise theocratic thinking as well. Please quote Obama's statements in support of a theocracy, since you state that "Obama believes in theocracy."

Regarding gay marriage, Obama has stated that he "does not understand people who say that gay marriage threatens the sanctity of the institution of marriage." He fully supports civil unions and legal rights granted to those unions, though his faith precludes his full support of gay marriage. This is in line, I believe, with the majority of Democrats in office, whom, I assume, you must therefore also despise.

Obama believes that the Democratic party should compete for ALL votes, and that does indeed include the Evangelical vote. What, you think that Democrats should simply surrender to that part of America without a fight? Last I checked, we need every vote possible. Or is it a "moral victory" to lose elections again yet not pay attention to these voters? If you "despise people who believe national politics should be a religious game," than you're going to have plenty of those moral victories to savor, while your candidates come up short. It's not a "game"...it's called engaging them to see our side of the equation.

Finally, I don't "despise Obama's religious bigotry" because I haven't seen it. Perhaps that's your windmill, but I find nothing despicable about someone who can lead our country out of the right-wing direction it's been going. And I "avoid the truth in defense of hatred"? Good God, we're talking about Barack Obama, not Donald Rumsfeld, although you seem to think they are level in terms of evil.

Finally, you, Thyme, can have the last word, as I have two kids in need of some homework supervision. Have at it. Certainly you can easily position me as hateful a theocrat as that despicable Barack Obama.
