Could the next President wipe out Bush's items via executive order

Assuming we win in 2008, we'll have a ton of shit to repreal from the Bush era. Unfortunately, even if we get control of Congress this year, Bush will still be able to keep his nefarious agenda in place with the veto pen. The up side to controlling Congress will be that we can prevent Bush from inflicting FURTHER damage, but because we'll not have a veto-proof majority, we'll not be able to roll back most of his previous bills (although we could let the tax cuts expire.)
I'm wondering though, could the next Democratic President roll back the detainee bill and the wiretapping bill (assuming the worst in that both of them become law) by executive order? What about the bankruptcy bill or the signing statements or the enviromental policies? Yeah, I know that he would need to go through Congress to roll back a lot of Bush's shit, although whether or not we'll control Congress after 2008 is unclear.

Reagan international abortion gag rule, cutting off funding for overseas family planning if they so much as mentioned abortion even if it was the only way to save a woman's life (think tubal pregnancy, a death sentence in the bush).

Yes, EOs can be and should be countermanded. I would think any Democrat worthy of the name will probably overturn at least 90% of Stupid's EOs.

The Machiavellian side of me kind of wants him to keep some of Bush's nefarious laws to scare the shit out of the GOP and give them an incentive to support repeal. They only trust Bush will violating the Geneva Convention because he's a Republican. Although, if our President repeals some of bullshit regarding detainees and wiretapping, the GOP will probably accuse him of being "soft" on terrorism for overturning Bush's violations of the Constitution. Also...could the President overturn parts of the Patriot Act via executive order?
