For the first time ever, I'm watching "Oprah"

Generally, I don't care for talk shows,especially female oriented talk shows, but when I heard that the great Elizabeth Edwards, and her husband John were going to be on, it got a must see from me. Mrs. Edwards has more courage in her little finger than any friggin' chickenhawk neocon ever will in his or her existence. What a great lady!

4. Hey! What's wrong with "female" talk shows?!

I think you've been missing out, because Oprah is known for her intelligence and her strong but compassionate way of looking at the world. I don't always agree with her (as in-I don't want Obama to run for office) but at the heart of it all, I know she is a good person with integrity and that counts for a lot in this big bad world we live in. And given her massive wealth, her feet are planted firmly on the ground and I like that too. She's not perfect, but neither are any of us.

That said, I hope you enjoy the show, I'm looking forward to seeing Elizabeth Edwards too. :)

6. Well, I guess I'm just sort of a "typical" male

You know, the beer drinking, sports watching, fishing in the river type of guy. Maybe I should give Oprah a chance. In reality, from what I've heard and seen from her, she seems like a good person. And now probably more than you need to know, I sorta like...Rachel Ray. GASP! How can a guy like her?! :-)

Fishing-you name it! But...he sits down with me to watch Oprah if he's home when she's on. I've even seen him shed a tear or two during a few of her shows. Rachel Ray seems cool, haven't watched her show much yet. I think she's on opposite Dr. Phil here and I admit that sometimes I watch his show, because even though I suspect that he's a rethug, I get a kick out of some of his guests! O8)
