With thousands of Republicans set to invade the city this summer, high-priced escorts and strippers are preparing for one grand old party. Agencies are flying in extra call girls from around the globe to meet the expected demand during the Aug. 30-Sept. 2 gathering at Madison Square Garden.

"We have girls from London, Seattle, California, all coming in for that week," said a madam at a Manhattan escort service. "It's the week everyone wants to work." "It's going to be big," agreed one operator at a midtown escort service...

Clubs have started booking private parties for delegates anxious to ogle topless beauties after a day of watching fully clothed politicians boast about family values. At the 1996 Republican convention in San Diego, an escort service in search of delegate dollars changed its name to GOP: Good Old-Fashioned Pleasure...

"We have our show down to a science," said Lonnie Hanover, a spokesman for Scores, the upscale topless club. "We'll be full every night with what we think are the best-looking girls in the industry." Hanover said Scores - which recently opened a branch just blocks from the Garden - has lined up several big-name entertainers for the convention. "But we don't reveal them," he said.

The Republican party isn't as unified as they would have you believe. Many don't like the foffies (fok-us in the fanny types) and many love to have a good time. I know, I hit the bars with some of them.

It is those folks that we must get to our side.

8. Yeah, but did the democratic delegates seek these wrestlers out?

Or did the wrestlers show up on their own accord? I would think that there's no politician stupid enough to think that his hiring a flatbed truck full of bikini-clad oil wrestlers to flash his party's convention is a good idea. However, there are plenty of politicians out there stupid/hypocritical enough to talk about family values during the day then get a high-priced call girl at night.

I've heard stories about hotels selling more in-room adult movies during Baptist conventions, and stuff like escort services gearing up for republican conventions. Are there any likewise phenomena for Democratic conventions?

6. Big disappointment here.

Saint Paul doesn't even have a downscale topless club -- not even a dirty bookstore. There are only a couple of nightclubs for hookers to hang out in and they'll have to stay in hotel rooms 20 miles away.

As a lonely old widower I can tell you that any attractive hooker around here is a police decoy.

7. In a NY coffee shop, late at night after the 04 Repub. Conv let out, I saw

four delegates sitting right across from me. They were the four most tawdry, repulsive looking white folks I have ever seen. Bad suit, bad hairpiec... They had that happy kind of tired look that a stupid dog gets after it rolled in cow shit. I will never forget it.
