While they may have voted against this monstrosity, they may and probably will, vote for other things that are designed to screw us over, again. My "Other" would be not to vote at all.

there are many people here who have absolutely no idea how congress works. I am amazed to see so many of you who are willing to give bush his rubber stamp congress for two more years over this this single vote. Did these republicans voting against the bill change the outcome? How many times did these republicans vote with bush? Do you understand that if there was a Democratic majority this bill probably wouldn't have made it to the floor for a vote?

was the vote so close that they couldn't take a temporary stand? i don't have the numbers but my guess is that their votes were expendable anyway so they tried not to rock their own election boat.
