they hate us because WE OPPRESS THEM - whether real or imagined, our cultural & economic hegemony has made them FEEL as if they have no choice but to defend THEIR FREEDOM, their culture, their pride as arabs, as mulsims, as believers in the one true religion. not all of their complaints are delusions without basis in historical fact. their tactic, terror, is evidence of the rage & helplessness they feel in the face of our overwhelming dissouluteness, wealth, hubris, and power.
