A perverse silver lining?
If a Diebold-proof majority ever succeeds in throwing the current merry band of idiots out on its collective ass, is there not now the legal basis for declaring them all "enemy combatants", with the whole sordid "harsh techniques" then to follow?

I will admit that a less noble part of me would enjoy seeing Condi forced to stand for hours in her most expensive pair of shoes; Jerry Falwell atop a naked pyramid of televangelists; Rummy and Alberto Gonzalez assuming "stress positions"; Cheney waterboarded; and the Dear Leader himself having the most anti-Shrub hip-hop/rap blasted at him for hours. It wouldn't be America, but then it looks like that ship has already sailed, hit an iceberg, and come to rest on the ocean floor...

3. Put them in the stocks. Sell bags of rotten fruit for $10 a bag.
Tour all fifty states. All major cities.

This combines American tradition with profit-making enterprise and should, if it can't pay off the Republican-induced national debt, at least defray a few war expenses.
