EXCEL Question
Is there a way to insert data that is connected to data on the internet?

Ex: Stock. On a spreadsheet that values assets based on number of stock times current price. Is there a way for the current price element to be connected to the NYSE and updated so long as there is an internet connection?

Thanks

2. Put the internet address of the current price in Excel
Right click the current price on the internet site and it will give you an internet address, copy that address into Excel.

3. If you right click on a cell, I think "hyperlink" might be what you're
looking for. I've never linked to a particular data set, only linked the entire webpage.

4. See the help below from MS Excel Help
Copy data from a Web page
This procedure requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.1 or later.

In your Web browser, select the data you want to copy.
On the Edit menu, click Copy. If your browser doesn't have this command, see your browser's Help for information on copying.
Switch to Microsoft Excel.
Click in the upper-left corner of the worksheet area where you want the copied data to appear.
On the Edit menu, click Paste.
If the data does not appear as you expect, click Paste Options and select one of the following options:
Keep Source Formatting Makes no changes.
Match Destination Formatting Matches the existing cell formatting.
Create Refreshable Web Query Gives you the opportunity to create a query to the Web page you copied from. This gives you the opportunity to refresh the data should the Web page change later.

Use the "Create Refreshable Web Query" option
