1. So I guess calling his office is indeed pointless! Not that I didn't
already know that.

7. No, it's not.
He still has to pass on my comments.

After he made that claim, I asked "Does it have anything in it about secret evidence?"

his response: *silence*

My statement was something like 'They know this bill is shameful and our country's reputation has suffered enough. I hope he votes against this bill so we won't have courts like Stalin's and Communist Russia's."

his response: "I'll pass your comments along."

ANY action is better than no action at all, no matter how pointless it may seem.

8. I called
If you spoke to the fellow I did, he sure as ready to defend his employer's horrid postion.

He tried to tell me "They are enemy combatants. I told him. THEY ARE HUMAN BEINGS. I told him the Senator should be ashamed to let this heinous propsal pass. I told him they were subject to the rule of law which was perfectly acceptable before this president came along.

grrrr. Took all my strangth not to lose my cool. He gave some blah blah that he would pass my sentiments onto that jerk of a senator. grrrr
