along with a couple foreign citizens are the ones getting beheaded,(Nick Berg). It is very difficult to kidnap US troops, it's probably happened less than a dozen times since the capture of Saddam.

I've heard that the higher ups in the insurgent and terrorist organizations have begun to discourage beheadings. Even THEY think it's too brutal and will alienate the Iraqi people.

Some of the talking point comes from hard line countries like Saudi Arabia, where state sanctioned beheadings still take place.
