The worst form of torture....

according to a gentleman who was held as a political prisoner in Romania is sleep deprivation. Next is exposure to cold, next is starvation.

After coming to the U.S., and he pretty much had anything he wanted, he tried to deprive himself of things again just to see if he could do it, and the one thing he could not do was go without sleep for 48 hours.

Try it sometime, it's horrible. After giving birth to my daughter I went 48 hours without MUCH sleep. I did sleep a little, maybe a couple or a few hours and it was pure hell.

I started hallucinating.

This is one of the favorite elements of "coercion" by the U.S. from what I understand.

I'm really ashamed of my country right now.

to think that anyone has the experience to be able to rank forms of torture.

It is even worse to think that our little cowboy is passing legislation to retroactivly allow torture, AFTER publicly denouncing that we do not torture. Isn't that a lie ?

We all scrambled to read it back in the 1970's, and I remember thinking how fortunate we Americans were that our country would never do this to anyone.
