I raised my hand 28 years ago. What were all the wars and death (both military and civilian) for? I've walked through Arlington and am in awe of the magnitude of the sacrifice. This old vet sits with tears in my eyes and says NO MORE! We have to do this not for ourselves. We have to do this for our children and grandchildren and generations yet unborn. Let them never say about us, where were you? MLK showed us how. With mass media looking on, let them beat us in the streets.Let them render us. Let them make excuses about why torture and rendition are the only options. For those who can't march, ok. It's ok to be afraid. To be afraid for your home, your job, your livelihood. 26. It looks like my MOS has become 11B from 74F. Tomorrow: the gun store.

I wonder what they have in a .223 ... and perhaps a 20 guage short-stock pump ("camper's special"). I've qualified using the M1, the M14, the M16, and the M60. I doubt I can get any of those, but anything's better than throwing rocks and bottles.

I took that oath twice - once in July 1961 when I entered the USCGA and again in March 1968 when I was drafted into the U. S. Army. It looks like my Expert Army Weapons Qualification will come in handy - even though I haven't picked up a weapon since November 1969.
