and others who have spoken out passionately today against "the torture bill"; FILIBUSTER. For the love of everything that's decent in the world, tell Frist and the rest of the republican leadership that deal or not, you cannot countenance the passage of this bill without the American people understanding how fundamentally wrong and unconstitutional it is. Yes, I know you may not be able to carry the day with a filibuster, but you owe it to your country, to the constitution and to yourselves to try.

It was a terrible and stupid agreement. The republican leadership knew damn well that they had the votes to keep the amendments from passing. And c'mon, you guys must have known too. It was a bad deal, and it's time to redeem yourselves. As the ad says, just do it. Just get out there and filibuster this unamerican and completely chilling piece of garbage.
