Feingold on Ed Schulz show saying Reid says not enough votes to filibuster |
|
Said Reid has done his "due diligence".
Feingold says he is in support of a filibuster.
Supposedly votes are 51-48.

10. One more circle left before it's all over |
|
If I'm not mistaken this now will rest in the hands of SCOTUS. After that it's straight down and out to sea.

7. I guess there are people who will vote no, but not fillabuster |
|
That makes no sense to me. They might as well vote "present".

12. Presumably these are people who are happy to register a losing "no" vote, |
|
in a losing cause, but wouldn't want to go far enough to cause an actual unpleasant dustup.
It's like offering to pay for dinner, with the secret knowledge that your guest is on expense account and will pay. You get the free brownie points but don't have to actually do anything that matters.
Feingold would not name names.

I was listening in the car, but for some reason Randi Rhodes (who I don't like much) was on the internet streaming when I got inside with my Thai takeout.

14. Exactly. I'd be on the NO side of this argument on principle. Guess |
|
Dems really don't mind providing the "bipartisan" support that gets used against them again and again.
