Mike Malloy Update

UPDATE

Thanks to all of you for your "get well" wishes, ecards, email, and message board posts. We're feeling much better thanks to Theraflu (Mike and Kathy) and baby vitamin C and Benadryl (Molly). We are traveling this weekend on a little unexpected non-business-related trip and I doubt we'll have any updates for you until we return next week.

As for media news: Mike was recently interviewed by salon.com for an article they're writing about Air America Radio past, present, and future. As is "Creative Loafing" here in Atlanta. We haven't been told the publication dates, but watch for them. Mike had some interesting observations.

We've recently heard drips and drabs of rather distrubing information about our former employer that - among other things - hint to another possible explanation for our shocking and sudden dismissal. We are hesitant to discuss the details until we can confirm them, and until all our financial interests with Air America are resolved. Unless we sell the story to E! "Behind the Scenes" first. If true, the intrigue and backstabbing and spying and double-dealing would make Caligula blush. You can't make this stuff up, Truthseekers.

As for those three radio opportunities we keep mentioning - I think we'll have final news from one of them early next week. The other remains unchanged. The "less likely" opportunity is more so as days go by, however, a fourth option might have popped up! Not trying to be coy, but this really is all we can say at the moment. Once we're free to speak, we'll certainly give you the whole story in as much detail as you can stand!

Finally, your email, calls, and petitions on our behalf are so appreciated. It certainly is a big boost to our morale and is noticed by potential radio outlets as well. Thank you thank you thank you so much, we'll be in touch.

I'm wondering if the right-wing hasn't finally found a way to destroy AAR from within. Certainly they'd love to see it go and to be able to promote the story that liberal radio "just can't make it."

They've spent millions on lesser projects.

I think we should all think deeply and get some answers before we react to whatever events may have transpired.

He'd remind us that as far as the country we grew up in, "it's over." And it would be somehow comforting to hear my worst fears in the open air, and know I wasn't alone with this.
