get involved in politics again. I'm thinking that I'm just gonna retreat, keep my head down, and figure out how best to quietly survive in a world without law, ethics, principles, morality and compassion.

I only wish I knew more about how the common citizens of the Soviet Union managed to go about their lives. Obviously there are some skills one must cultivate in order to survive in a totalitarian state.
