At what point do you decide that sacrificing principle is "worth it" in terms of political expediency?

We've gone around and around and AROUND about this one. And personally, I think the answer is as unique as each of us here. Many believe the line has been crossed, and they just CANNOT support a Dem who voted for this bill - no matter the cost. And many believe that the line has NOT been crossed, that without our continued support, things could get even WORSE.

Can we please simply honor each other's position on this? I can't think of anyone who doesn't ABHOR the bill itself, and I am so disgusted with Salazar I could just SPIT!!! But I DO believe things could be even worse. And that's why - holding my nose and clutching a half-filled barf bag, I would still pull a lever for Salazar. That's my position, but I respect the hell out of people who feel the other way.

Nelson may as well wear Republican on his lapel... this is a grassroot campaign.. do what you want. Support who will support you. Sometimes this comes in the form of an Independant.

SPRING HILL FL. Sept. 22, 2006, Brian Moore, the independent anti-war candidate for the U.S. Senate (Ind.), proposed in the form of a news release a "Living Income Program" which would "provide $10,000 stipends annually to the lowest quintile (20%) of Americans, whether working or not." It would all depend on their economic situation.

Mr. Moore made his proposal in a one-hour debate with Anthony Kovovic and host Chris Krimitsos, a week and a half ago on the televised Tampa community television show, "Bleeping Truth."

Opposes US--UK Extradition Agreement Which Hurts Irish-Americans.

Brian wrote our two Florida Senators (Nelson & Martinez) to oppose the ratification of a US-UK extradition treaty.

Irish-Americans, who donate money or help the cause of Irish unity in Ireland, can now be extradited to England as "terrorists" without the normal rights for all Americans.
