Here is the sad scoop folks. We the smart, the concerned, the idealistic,

hope that reason rules the day. We hope that the right thing to do will emerge and things will turn around based on reason - that our Dem leaders will see the light, do the right thing....

Yes, things will turn around - they MUST. But, I fear, they will turn around because, regrettably, there will be an increase in deaths, maiming, horror. Things will get far worse in Iraq, Afghanistan, etc because the recent goings on will inflame the enemy - we will suffer so much in the way of tragedy and loss that either people will indeed be driven to the streets, or even the dead will be awakened.

I am not trying to be a pessimist - I am going to be a realist. What has been going on is so horrific that I'm afraid that there is no way out of things getting far, far worse - and then the pendulum will simply have to swing the other way, at the peril of life itself.

And we will be thinking that things could have been different if the voting slightly more than half of the public, or our weak, minority leaders, would smarten up, wake up, and/or grow some balls.

vote. the dems that voted yes, a minority. BAD. the repugs that voted yes and brought this bill bigger BAD
