Torture bill should be a rallying cry from one end of the US to the other
Do you see any in DC who voted against this quitting? Are any of them saying 'let's throw in the towel or it's over' unlike some DUer's who are doing it?

These men and women will go back to work to get this country back on track and they will be working their asses off to get the house and senate under Dem control. That's what we all should be doing rather than whining about what happened today.

The passage of this horrible bill should be a rallying cry from one end of the country to the other. Tell everyone you know what happened today. Write LTTE's, continue the calls and talk to family and friends.

This day is important not because of how much the passage hurt the US, but because this bill represents EVERYTHING the repukes stand for...stripping of habeas corpus, torture and naming whoever they want as an enemy combatant.

We lost a battle today...but the war still goes on.

:patriot:

1. With any luck this thing could backfire on everyone in the govt....
They are no longer doing our bidding. I don't believe for one minute the majority of americans support this bill.

2. I gotta halfta totally agree. Am I the only one raised on the myth
that the United States of America was morally heads and shoulders
above the rest? I have pounded the religious right daily
for years but are not these people still with some basic
human decency?

I have had my sarcastic pessimistic assessment of humankind dashed before.
Dash it now.

3. But it had BIPARTISAN support! You must hate America!
The DU "Wisdom" says that there must be no opposition from the opposition in order for the opposition to 'win.' After all, who wants to be called names? (Names like "oppostion.")

5. The sad part ----
Apparently tho, most of America hasn't a clue. Our representives are there to represent us and some have failed. We know some are from purple States and that is a problem, but not on an issue like this!
