Seriously, we all know that Bush has committed himself to invading Iran (the same way he committed himself to war with Iraq before he was elected). Nothing short of impeachment is going to stop him and possibly not even that.

6. How is that an "Iran regime change" bill?

All I see are sanctions on "entities" providing certain types of aid to Iran or somesuch. Don't get me wrong, I believe these guys are intending to attack Iran before the mid-terms, and considering the timing, this bill very likely plays into that effort in some way. But it's hardly another IWR, know what I mean?

There's alot of distance between sanctions on businesses (or I suppose governments) and open war. How do you suppose they'll get from here to there?

A blockade of Iranian ports by the US Navy in support of these sanctions is likely. When the Iranians react "badly" to the blockade, as they probably will, hello war.

8. I'm not so sure there will be war before November

The gas prices are moving in Bush's favor, and it seems Bush will hold off for the sake of his congressional allies. After the election is over though, things will be even less certain in my eyes.
