our Congress looks incredibly small and insignificant compared to . . .
the Congress of the Watergate era . . . though Nixon's offenses were FAR less than BushCo's, those representatives and senators (including Republicans) stood up to "preserve and protect the Constitution" -- as they all were sworn to do . . . they put country ahead of party -- and fawning obeisance to "The Leader" . . .

Congress should be deeply and profoundly ashamed of themselves for clicking their heels, saluting, and then trashing the very foundation of our democracy . . . instead, they're oblivious to what they're doing . . . just as long as those campaign contributions keep coming in, those salaries get COLAs each year, and all the perks -- legal, quasi-legal, and illegal -- keep keep on a-growin' . . .

many of these people quite simply have no conscience . . . they call themselves Christians, yet they've have lost their fundamental humanity . . . to the extent that treason, torture, war crimes, and crimes against humanity are all perfectly acceptable policies -- just as long as "I keep gettin' mine!" . . .

just a sleazy bunch of amoral motherfuckers who should all be arrested, prosecuted, and imprisoned . . . for a long, long time . . .

1. The mysterious power this incompetent administration
wields over Congress and the media is incomprehensible. At times like these I truly wonder whether there is some sort of direct intimidation or coercion at work.

2. No doubt the worst in US history.
There really isn't anyway to debate that intelligently. They are technically outlaws. They have moved against the constitution.

...the Power of the Force.

"This Torture Bill is the supreme military law of the land. I suggest we use it!!"

"Do not be too proud of this medieval terror you have constructed, Secretary Gonzales."

"Enough of this bickering! Cheney, release him!"
