I am leaving as soon as possible. I lived in the UK from Sept 21, 2001 through June 12, 2005, and only came back because my ex tricked me into it (looong story), and then I had to stay here. I was right when in the UK I felt like the US was devolving into a nation of backward-looking, irrational, superstitious, immoral, lowest-common-denominator, apathetic, idiotic wackos. First the reaction to 9/11. Then the Patriot Act. Then the reelection of *co. Now this. We are a nation of sheep.

Idiots. I don't want to live among them any more. And if all the intelligent people leave, what will happen? This nation will, I fear, turn into the society depicted in the excellent film "Idiocracy" - only much sooner than 2505. We're already there.
