1. It hasn't. It's unconstitutional to suspend it so it goes to SC.
They will uphold it. The GOPs know this. Their real target was to slip through the provision giving BushInc immunity for PAST abuses.

By making the debate ABOUT Habeus Corpus they got all attention off Bush's weaseling for escape from accountability of his PAST criminality on the torturing of detainees.

2. Maybe it goes to SCOTUS.
I'm not holding my breath on that getting there, and I sure as shit don't trust them to stand in defense of something as quaint as the US Constitution if it does.

3. Takes 2 Years MINIMUM Before It Gets There...
Probably longer. It will be 2009 At the least before this gets any sort of hearing in the S.C.

Of course, some here will say...."well, that's better late than never." Oh, the joys of being an optimist!

4. The point is that it will NOT be operable till it IS adjudicated, and that
the REAL purpose of putting the Habeus Corpus debate out there was to distract from the REAL purpose of the bill - to protect Bush from prosecution for past torture of detainees.
