2000 was a coup.
It's never been more clear. The "make george king and cover his ass" torture bill proves it.

2. Yep -
"If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier - just so long I'm the dictator." December 18, 2000

He wasn't joking.

5. I watched while the little prick said that! I believe it was on the floor
of the Senate and he jokingly said that he might have to come down here from time to time to twist some arms and bang some heads regarding working with members of Congress. He's a major league a$$hole! Big Time!

4. Um, this has been obvious for a LONG time.
It didn't take long to figure out how Katherine Harris and "Jebbie"
conspired to suppress Democratic votes through the 'purging' of the voter rolls. On top of that, the votes were never properly counted. The absentee ballots were not treated fairly...on and on and on.

Democrats should have been SCREAMING about this. Instead, they agreed to the Voting reform bill which simply made it possible for Diebold and others to gain a foothold so they could mess with the 2004 election--which they did. So, stolen election #2--and STILL the Dems were not screaming.
Kerry rolls over before they can even figure out what happened.

Nobody should be surprised. The Bushies have been on a roll since 2000 to consolidate power into a theocratic, corporatist state, which they control. And they've succeeded.

6. The Coup of 2000
DELAND, Fla., Nov. 11 - Something very strange happened on election night to Deborah Tannenbaum, a Democratic Party official in Volusia County. At 10 p.m., she called the county elections department and learned that Al Gore was leading George W. Bush 83,000 votes to 62,000. But when she checked the county's Web site for an update half an hour later, she found a startling development: Gore's count had dropped by 16,000 votes, while an obscure Socialist candidate had picked up 10,000--all because of a single precinct with only 600 voters."
- Washington Post Sunday , November 12, 2000 ; Page A22

BTW this was done thanx to Diebold.
