I have $1,000 - Missing Money. com
A few weeks ago a DU'er posted a link to MissingMoney.com. I took a look - found my name and submitted a form and proof that I had lived at a certain address in the 80's. Yesterday I received a check for $1,000. I have absolutely no idea where the money came from.

I have decided to spend it on the mid-terms as I feel it is our last chance to save our republic. I need help on how to spend it. I don't have a lot of time to do the research and will not give any more to the DNC, DCCC or DSCC. I don't want to give it to any organization. I want to donate it directly to a candidate. My local congressman is in a very safe seat. I have previously donated to other congressional seats in my home state.

So, I am thinking Virginia U.S. Senate race and Montana U.S. Senate race but I need help with the house races. I would like suggestions on four to six house races where we are challenging an incumbent and have a chance to take the seat.

Thank you in advance for your help.

1. .
Never heard about that. I assume that it is a legit site? Anyway, better keep checking your bank account. One never knows.

You might want to take a look at this site with all races:

It looked better the last time I checked...

2. Send it to BRYAN KENNEDY!
He is running against Sensenbrenner. He is a true progressive, has a chance to win, but needs financial and volunteer backing. Link is www.bk2006.org

10. Charlie Brown is challenging Doolittle in California (CA4)...
Edited on Fri Sep-29-06 12:23 PM by BrotherBuzz
Right now, polls have him in a statical dead heat and more TV ads, and the like, could put him over the edge.

Benenson Strategy Group, a firm that also works with the DCCC, conducted the poll at the end of August. It shows Doolittle leading Brown by just 41 percent to 39 percent with 17 percent saying they didn’t know who they would vote for “if the election were held today.” The poll had a 4.9 percent margin of error.

17 percent are sitting on the fence!!!! Might be a good investment.

12. Ok - I am in on this race.
I looked at his website and read several other articles. I really like the undecideds.

Thanks for the tip.

13. Hoot!
Keep an eye on the news around Oct 3. Georgie is visiting Doolittle for a fundraiser at, gasp, a gated Country Club. The Bush*/Doolittle event will get a lot of local coverage in the news and I'm hoping Brown launches an ads blitz to compliment it by focusing on the Doolittle/DeLay/Abramoff connection. Talking point: Doolittle supports Sex Slavery, Forced Abortions, and Sweatshops!!!!
