Poll question: How many wussie-dems would vote to suspend elections?
It the repuke-fascists decided we couldn't afford to put the nation at risk by having any more elections, how many wussie-dems would triangulate, hedge their bets, and (by God!) keep their fucking powder dry, and vote to keep the pukes in power forever.

1. Whatever the Dems need.
Especially here in NJ. Then they don't have to worry about losing their seats.

2. Not forever, they are not fascists after all
Just "for the duration of the national crisis." Just like The Party will restore democracy to Oceana once the war with Eastasia (or is it Eurasia this week?) has been won.

4. I would have said the same thing about torture three days ago
Maybe you should go consult that list of Dems voting "for".

5. Until recently, I couldn't imagine Americans voting to torture Americans..
But it happened.

So "yes" I believe Democrats would vote to suspend elections. Particularly if it meant it would keep their powder really, really, really...REALLY, REALLY dry!

9. It's ridiculous, isn't it?
I am completely amazed at how many DUers in post after post attack Democrats. Not very helpful My suggestion is that if they don't like Democrats they should find another party.

10. I'll criticize the silly mutherfuckers all I want, thank you!
I'll be voting for Fienstien (ugh!), Boxer (hell, yeah!, though she's not running this time around), and Lynn Woolsey, but I will be endlessly critical of turncoat "Democratic" legislators.

Mmm-kay?

15. Flame war, du jour
Actually, I don't know if I should call this thread flame bait, which is what I implied with my subject line. However, the thread certainly makes the worst of a bad situation with some hot language and a loaded premise.

May the FSM help our wretched souls! As if I don't feel bad enough with the stress and the real problems in my life.
