Still, the Toyota Matrix is on my list of possible next vehicle... The Pontiac Vibe may be the same vehicle, but a Vibe is a Martix with different badging and body panels. The Matrix is the original item.

The nearest Toyota dealer is fifty miles and the next nearest is seventy, meaning that is not very workable. And by the way my '88 S-10 pickup has 225,000 miles without a wrench on the driveline. And I paid $4000 for it 8 years and 150,000 miles ago. So by my math a brand new toyota truck would have to be trouble free for 40 years and 750,000 to be the same value and that is if I could get someone to sell me one for $20K.

Used car profits do not go to GM, they go to the dealer. So you can support the dealer without supporting GM.

If you like that Chevrolet Cobalt, more power to you. Sales people have zero input in national campaigns. They're just trying to sell cars and make some money. And of the people I personally know that sell cars, the majority of them are democrats.

But I always thought they were pretty "liberal" cars, like Subarus, Hyundais, and VWs. Conservatives seem to like Hummers, Toyotas (the big ones at least), Chevys, Fords, you know, the "big car, small penis" vehicles.
