I, for one, am glad to see this whole Foley scandal unfold. I think someone earler wondered what it would take for the GOP to start cleaning house. I hope they never do. I don't think they will, I just don't think they're capable of it. They are nothing but a bunch of lying, backstabbing, hypocritical bastards who are bent on nothing short of absolute power. They would love nothing more than to whip Americans into a relgious, anti-immigrant, xenophobic furor. Notice how they're getting bolder and bolder about proclaiming Democrats as enemies of the people? RW talk show hosts are tossing the word "traitors" around on a regular basis, and their faithful audiences eat it up like so much cake. This whole habeus corpus act is just the first step. Next step will be to clamp down on 'extremist' viewpoints and internet bloggers. The GOP is bent on turning this country into the fascist system that Bush's grandpa loved so much.

Fuck them. Fuck ALL of them. Even the "RINOs" that may try to sound moderate, they are still loyal to their party base. When you hear "moderate" Republicans trying to coopt Democrat issues, don't believe them for one second. While they may be "moderate" on certain issues, when push comes to shove, who do you think they will line up with?
