It's time for mass action. worldcantwait.org, Locations of protests Oct 5
This fight has just begun. Mass action is the only way now.

We need to turn out so many democratic voters that they won't be able to fix the vote.

http://worldcantwait.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2418&_event=14

Everyone must vote.

3. Awesome. I'm going to be at the San Diego one
I feel like I haven't been doing enough. I can't believe our democracy is slipping through our fingers.

It's time to get involved if you aren't and more involved if you already are.

There will be no impeachment without a democratic majority.

11. They are not saying "don't vote for the dems" they are saying
Don't get caught up in any rescue fantacies. I will vote for the Dems in my district. I happen to have a good rep and two good senators. I am glad for the rally, but I do not have any rescur fantacies for that either. We are in for a long struggle to get back our basic human rights and there are no easy answers. A dem victory in Nov won't change everything. I will celebrate it if it happens and work for it, but only a wishful thinker would believe that it would be anything but a start on a long, long road. On that road, it will be our principles that sustain us, not which team gets what, when.

14. There is only one way to impeach. A Democratic Majority
Otherwise Bush will leave office when his term expires and they will run a hand picked successor to his throne.

So...either the world can wait...or it can't.

If you can't wait...you have to support democrats, get them in office, and then hold their feet to the fire. Otherwise, the world will be waiting two more years.

27. As I said, I will be voting for my dems who are shoo-ins.
After the vote yesterday, however, I am not assured that a Dem majority in both houses will result in impeachment. I hope so, but my illusions are shattered.

13. No, they're advocating not sitting around, hoping voting is enough!
"Millions of us worked, talked, marched, poll watched, contributed, voted, and did everything we could to defeat the Bush regime in the last election. This unprecedented effort brought forth new energy, organization, and commitment to struggle for justice. It would be a terrible mistake to let our failure to stop Bush in these ways lead to despair and inaction. On the contrary, this broad mobilization of people committed to a fairer, freer, more peaceful world must move forward. We cannot, we will not, wait until 2008. The fight against the second Bush regime has to start now."

15. No one is saying that.
Either the world can't wait or it can.

There is only one way to impeach. A democratic majority. Without it no impeachment.

So...can the world wait or not?

17. Nixon was not impeached...he was cornered by the call to throw the bum out
If common people in this nation rise up to demand something be done, literally shame a corrupt Congress into shaping up or shipping out, the Judiciary Committees may see that popular opinion could bring about their own downfall and thus, act accordingly. It's not just Democrats who are unhappy with the course this nation is set on and it's pretty presumptuous to think they will be the only ones to save what has been lost. This country cannot wait one minute longer, wasting time hoping that condescending saviors might feel the desperation and grow a spine and actually stand up for the rights of all. The hour has come to use our freedom of speech, our right to assemble, and make this farce feel our displeasure.

18. That isn't factual. He resigned because he was about to be impeached
"His resignation came in the face of imminent impeachment related to the Watergate scandal"

19. Sorry, Wikipedia was not there
The judiciary committees finally took action because we were all out in the streets, surrounding the capitol, and marching in cities across the nation, demanding that they THROW THE BUM OUT!

I guess one needed to have been there to witness the mobilization, the organization, and the action so many took.

23. But, Bush will not leave because we are in the streets
And his Republican supporters in Congress will never do what they did to Nixon. It's the majority or we lose.

At least IMO.

10. PLEASE FILM PROTESTS
The mainstream media will downplay the protests and the crowd numbers, so please those who are going to the protests, take your cellphones, your cameras and film it.

There are so many clips on sites like youtube from protests around America in the past few years, that have never made the news. That have been massive.

So make sure you film them, and not only should people post them on the internet, but send them to the few Journalists that would air them, send them to Keith Olbermann, send to the huffingtonpost, make sure the public know people are out there protesting, we cant relay on, CNN,ABC,NBC,CBS and Faux to actually cover the protests.

16. I called world can't wait just now. Here's their number:
nfo@worldcantwait.org
Telephone: 866-973-4463

The way I put is like this:

There is only one way to impeach. That is to win a democratic majority in the House and begin investigations into the executive. Then articles can get written up etc..

Without a democratic majority there is no impeachment.

So...can the world wait 2 more years or not?
