Hate to be pessimistic, but...
just what do you think is going to prevent them from stealing 2006, too?

Sure, 90% of the country hates Bush now, but since when has that stopped them? Remember, we're just "focus groups" to the King.

Do we really have any hope of stopping it this time?

16. Wouldn't that be offering up evidence on a silver platter to a CURRENT
court case? If anything, I can see the rigging going on in districts they were EXPECED to win anyway, but we know they are actually struggling, like in South Carolina or Texas - BUT - would they risk doing it in districts where they would draw suspicion?

That would kill their opportunity to rig 2008 if they play fast and loose with the machines in 2006. I think they'll rig, but in areas guaranteeing LITTLE SCRUTINY.

10. You speak the truth. Ignore the "Nah-Nah-Nah I can't hear you" crowd

So many amercians appear unable to
distinguish between pessimism and realism these days.

Those who can will be the most likely to survive what is unfolding.

These people are not going away any time soon.
Prepare for the worst as it is clearly upon us.
They have suffered NO consequence for ANYthing, as you say,
they act with impunity. That would be because they know that they can.
And yes, it does have to do with the fact that they
now count the votes.

5. pessimistic
What indeed! Since last elections those high tech voting machines have sprouted up in every polling place across the country regardless of how poorly they have performed in the past. You would think that the worlds oldest constitutional republic would be able to run fair elections by now wouldn't you? Can Jimmy Carter monitor our elections and guarantee their fairness? Not withou a paper trail!
It is obvious that the uproar over balloting is another part of the greater scheme to undermine voter confidence and create despair among the electorate.
CALL FOR A NATIONAL STRIKE TO SHOW THESE GANGSTERS THAT WE WILL NOT SETTLE FOR BEING VICTIMS ANY LONGER!

11. I fully expect them to try to steal it...
but I also expect voters to be more aware of what's going on, to ask for paper ballots, to report irregularities, to question the process as they never have before. And I expect voting rights groups and election reform advocates to be on top of this as never before.

Repiglicans are riding on the Hindenberg...it IS going to be harder for them to steal elections without messing up.

This is a time for vigilance and focus.
