BlogACTIVE appears to be dedicated to outing gay Republicans

This blog claims to have been involved in exposing Foley's emails and there appears to be a list of other Republican office holders and staffers thought to be gay on the left column of the site.

Would anybody with more knowledge of this advise me if this is accurate information?

Also, how does the greater gay community feel about outing gay Republicans? I realize that Foley's pedophilia makes him a special case.

Outing child molesters is one thing, outing people because they're gay is just vicious.

Who cares who's gay. Who cares who's straight. Unless there are crimes involved I'm against it no matter who they are.

2. Well, I'm not gay, so maybe I'm speaking out of turn, but...

I feel that outing gay Republicans who have supported anti-gay legislation of one kind or another (including anti-same-sex-marriage laws) is perfectly okay... because they are *hurting* people and should be stopped.

People who mind their own business and respect others' privacy should have their privacy respected, too.

4. Outing pedophiles is fine by me.Outing anti-gay gays who are getting

riched and more powerful by their gay bashing is just fine too. I think that most outing is homophobic and should be discouraged, but whenpeople are hurting children or gays, they are inviting public scrutiny!
