I'm having a really hard time.

I just can't bring myself to vote for Bill Nelson right now. The only thing he's got going for him is he's not Katherine Harris.

2. Remember - you're voting for John Conyers for Justice Comm. Chairman
The first step in impeachment.

And we all know that Conyers is the ONE Dem who will do it.

3. I was hoping to vote for you this year. Too bad it costs so much to
run for office. I feel your pain. But having Harris as senator would be even worse pain. Maybe you can win the lottery between now and the next senatorial election.

4. Choose the Giant Douche! Reject the Turd Sandwich!
In all seriousness, though, I agree that it would be nice this cycle to be able to vote for someone rather than against someone else.

The two-party system has failed us almost completely.

11. There is Brian Moore, an anti-war activist running as NPA.
But that's a wasted vote.

20. Brian heads an active protest group in our area
I've protested with some of his group at the Springhill intersection in front of the Weeki Wachi Mermaid attraction. He's a great activist, but--unfortunately--a wasted vote.

I'll vote for Nelson, but he doesn't thrill me. Just the same, as they say, a yellow dog is better than a republican!

After the primary. I work on John Russells campaign.

5. I gotta hold my nose and vote for him.... I feel your pain
After he's safely elected - we're going to have to make his life miserable. I already send weekly e-mails to him.

And we need to find another decent Dem to run against him next time around.

people like Ted Kennedy holding chairmanships of the committees.

9. Same situation here...
Florida sucks.

Then for Representative, I have Clint Curtis who I REALLY REALLY want to win, but his chance is so low. Of course he's getting my vote - not much thought or pondering needed on that one. Feeney is corrupt as hell...but wish I had a better choice for Governor and Senator

14. Good thought.
Sending Harris home poor and disgraced might actually help deter other would-be GOP whores. It's not the indictment and conviction she deserves, but it's something.

Maybe I'll wait a couple of days, down a bottle of vodka, hold my nose and do it.

22. Oh, I wasn't aware of your obligations. That changes my answer.
Given that information, if you promised to support the Dem candidate through thick and thin, then you're going to keep your word.

Can you imagine how hard it would be for you if Lamont lost the primary and you're obligated to support Lieberman and you lived up there instead of in Florida?

26. We are free to hold our opinions
If Lieberman had won the primary, you can vote for him if you want, but I'd rather protest the war on that day instead of casting a ballot for him. Pass judgement upon me all you will. Call my an idiot or call what I'm saying trash.

29. That kind of strategy is why Gore lost to bush.
(Let's show the Dems that Nader is a better choice and the party will have to change...). No, my math is pretty good. If every dem decides to do this, Katherine Harris will win.

I'm angry at Bill too, and I have written and told him so. And once we win this one, we should then start holding his feet to the fire.

19. You're voting for Patrick Leahy to head the Senate Judiciary Committee
Robert Byrd to head the Appropriations Committee.

Carl Levin to head the Armed Services Committee.

Kent Conrad to head the Budget Committee.

Joe Biden to head Foreign Relations.

Someone besides Joe Lieberman heading Homeland Security and Government Affairs.

And, Sweet Jesus on a Trailer Hitch, someone other than Crazy Ted Stevens on Commerce, Science & Transportation.

I beseech you to please vote for the Democrat.

23. You simply must--you think Moxie and Spunk give a damn about
waterboarding?

I can understand the frustration (I'm in Maricopa County, Arizona) but if we don't get some power in Washington somehow, we all lose.

If it's this bad now, think how much worse it can get.

Vote for Nelson, then drink heavily and hang out in the DU Lounge.

Remember that you are among friends here.

vote for Kyl?

What the hell kind of intractable brain tumors have these people got?

35. I find that pretty hard to believe. I know fence-sitters who are
jumping over to our side and so fat Pederson is polling at 5-11% behind Kyl.

still I hope they wise up. Unfortunately Kyl is inexplicable quite popular here since he's a major DC insider type.

34. Keep your eye on the prize
The time to go after really bad Dems is in the primaries. Following the mid-terms, I desperately want for our energies to go into developing new, viable Dem candidates to challange those elected Dems who refuse to uphold their oath of office and/or represent Democratic principles.

As bad as Nelson is, just remember that Harris would gleefully tear-up the Constitution just to have confetti to thrown while she does a happy dance.

Keep your eye on the prize.
