What if we could find something that would make teenagers less likely to become involved in crime, drug and alcohol abuse, and premarital sex? And at the same time, what if this little miracle "something" would turn adolescents into safer drivers, make them more likely to participate in extracurricular activities like sports or student government, and give them a higher sense of self-esteem?

I'd rejected religion as I got into my teens. Sure, there are plenty of vulnerable teens out there ripe for plucking by cults and fundie groups, but that doesn't equate to "hardwired for religion".

11. Let's see. Get a person at an age when they are

confused, stressed, going through tremendous change, struggling to fit in or - find their niche or find the strength to be who they are, looking for answers, testing their wings, at that awkward age of not a child but still a child...when their brains are literally going through changes...and then claim they are "hard-wired" for religion?

No. Sorry. That's taking advantage of the dynamics of that developmental stage to indoctrinate.

That's preying - not praying - on teens when they are vulnerable.
