Ailes Warns Personnel Changes May Shake Up Fox News
In a statement that likely caused shudders among some Fox News employees, Roger Ailes said Thursday that News Corp Chairman Rupert "Murdoch didn't invest a billion dollars in this company so people can have jobs. ... He did it to WIN. ... He wants to win and so do I." Ailes made the statement in a company State of the Business Address, in which he also remarked, "We cannot rest on our accomplishments, and I will continue to make changes." Separately Ailes told the Associated Press on Thursday that he intends to be "dogmatic" in pursuing rate increases from cable providers for the channel. FNC now reportedly receives about 27 cents per subscriber from the cablers and has asked for an increase to $1.00, The first contract to come up for renewal will be one with Cablevision Systems, covering primarily the New York City area, which expires on Oct. 7. All of the other contracts expire within the next two years. "Our viewers have let us know that they don't want us taken off," Ailes told the A.P.

Ailes has a page at IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0014614/

Ailes' messageboard only has 2 entries. We can do better than that, can't we, e.g, posting the video clip of Keith calling him a "fat ass".

hehehehe

12. A higher share than he's got
because he's now lost over 40% of the viewers from Pox's peak.

Those cutesy little noises when the pics change aren't bringing folks in like they used to, and the propaganda seems to have turned a lot of people off as the reality of the situation has dawned on them.

We'll see if "change" includes a shift in the poltical winds.

10. In a Bizarro Way, I would fantasize Fox hiring
Mike Malloy. Hell if Glenn Beck can do CNN, why not. Boy I miss Mike.

Ailes is as antiquated as Faux. The two will go down together.

9. In other words, Fox is in trouble.....
Ailes is one of the true psychos of the Right.

I had a bizarre email exchange with Ailes a few years ago. I said something implying he was insulated from reality, and he emailed me back with a list of all the jobs he'd had in his life. It was almost sad. It seems he felt the need to prove himself to a stranger, and one who'd just told him he sucked.

13. What "Ailes" Fox News (love the pun!)
Roger Ailes is the head of Fox News. He is the fellow who created the psuedo-news network for Rupert Murdoch that captures the heart of every right-wing nut in America. It is very much like Murdoch's tabloid newspapers. Heavy on local, grisly murders, violence and sex, mixed in with an extreme right-wing editorial agenda.

Ailes recently criticized President Clinton for his now legendary explosion at a Fox News set up question by little, elfin-looking, Chris Wallace. The question implied that Clinton hadn't done enough to get Bin Laden.

Ailes, who has done more to destroy the credibility of objective reporting and journalism than anyone since Joe McCarthy, called Clinton's outburst an "assault on all journalists". Why an assualt on journalists is of concern to him is not obvious, since he hires failed models and actresses and right-wing ideologues to slant and convey the reactionary news that he sees fit to broadcast.

What "Ailes" Fox News

14. Ailes was laughed at for his inference that Faux personnel
were legitimate reporters. They are not.
