Read off some of the e-mails. "Pages and pages of x-rated e-mails."

Showed him talking about how pedophiles are sick people. etc and how he was in charge of the "campaign" against abuse.

Gave people the address to get the e-mails from.

1. Florida GOP voters will have to vote for the pedophile.
cause they can't replace his name on the ballot.

I'm thinking its perfect symbolism for the GOP 'screw the young' party.

Ruin the environment.
Destroy America.
Shit on the Constitution.
Leave monstrous debt.
Destroy international alliances.
Screw the young.

8. They may do a contorted endrun around the law-
In FL? gasp!-

Late Update: A credible but unconfirmed tip has it that the Florida GOP is going to "sue to get the replacement's name on any ballots already not 'printed'". If successful, that could of course change the calculation. And remember of course that the Florida state judiciary is now well larded with Jeb Bush toadies. So don't count out the possibility.

6. That's Great, I'm Hoping This Story Has Some National Backlash
Against Repubs in general. It may very well, considering the House leadership covering it up! This could be big, real big.

9. I live in Port Saint Lucie, and ...
It's the same deal here. They have been covering nothing but Foley ever since rumors started about his resignation.

As someone said above, it's too late for him to be removed from the ballot. People will knowingly vote for a pedophile if they go Republican during the elections. I would say our chances at that seat just improved by, oh, a million times.

I can't take any joy in it, though, knowing that the advantage came of that sick dirtbag doing this to the kid.

10. Now they're listing the areas that he represented like they s/be
ashamed or something. Ooooh - the shame!

Some pretty bubba-ish areas.

12. If I were some little old lady Repub. from an area he represented
....I'd be royally p.o.'d - the way this all sounded. Like he brought shame upon their city.

Lemme tell you there are almost all seniors in those areas and they don't like this kind of shit!
