Can someone post a brief "how to" on capturing Internet pages?

Foley forgot to take down his Internet site yesterday before he resigned. I know one of the mods captured some of it, but I would like to know how to screen captures for future reference. It would have been nice to have captured the whole site.

1. Ctrl+Alt+Print Screen (buttons - all simultaneously)

2. Use the PrintScreen button

Then open up a program (I just use paint) and hit paste. Then you can crop and save your image.

3. On my laptop, I have to hit only 2 buttons:

Ctrl and PrtSC. Then I go to "PAINT," and click on "Edit" and click on "Paste," to keep the screen cap.

5. In InternetExplorer:file menu, save as, change file type to archive (.mht)

6. On a PC

you hit the button PrtScrn/SysRq to the right of all the F keys. That copies whatever is on your screen at the time to the clipboard. Then open a program like MS Paint or Photoshop and past your captured image into that. Then save as a file, usually jpg, tiff, or png.

Or, you can type command-shift-4 to get a little cursor that allows you to do a partial capture.

If you're not already using Firefox as your browser (highly recommended!), you can download it here:

12. Right click, Save page as

13. Go on eBay and buy a copy of Adobe Acrobat, 4.0 or higher

(the latest is 7), and use it as an alternate brwoser.

Then you will capture EVERY page you visit, as part of a big session PDF. Your problem won't be capturing pages, but rather deleting unwanted pages.

Depending on how recent a version you have, you may have to use another browser to capture pages that use a lot of Java or Flash.
