Isn't that the real story here. Not that they tried to cover it up. They could have covered it up and allowed him to leave quietly for "health reasons" or whatever. The whole point of this is that they KNEW he was a pervert and they DIDN'T CARE!!! In fact they didn't even remove him from the committee that is supposed to PROTECT CHILDREN. Now that is just so dirty it's incredible.
That is what we have to get out to the media!!

1. I hate to mention this, but to the people in his District "gay |
|
pervert" is what is going to sway them.

4. It doesn't matter why they would hate him. The point here is that |
|
they KNEW and they were giving him money to get RE-ELECTED!!!!!!!!!!

7. I know. My sister lived there for a few years. I must admit I was |
|
pretty shocked when I visited her at just how many BUBBAS there are there. None the less, wouldn't those same BUBBAS be pissed that the GOP was trying to keep a pedophile in office? Wouldn't they be angry that they didn't insist that the guy quietly resign and run someone who was not a pervert?

Knowing that he had a proclivity and history of inappropriate, maybe illegal, contacts with minors...why allow this guy to run as a Republican? Why not convince him to "retire"? Because the Syndicate doesn't care about the morality of its members...as long as they get that rubberstampped Congressional vote to support the defrauding of America. I wonder how many other Congressional Republicans have skeletons in their closet that allow them to be easily co-opted in their voting?

3. THAT IS THE STORY!! They knew he was a pervert, they were |
|
funding him anyway. They allowed him to continue to sit on the caucus for missing and exploited children. They wanted him re-elected. They didn't tell him to quietly resign!!

|
What would have been the process of replacing him?

9. Not sure but I think either Jebby or the Republican machine would |
|
designate soemone to fill his seat for the remainder of the sesion or until a special election could be held. Most likely a Republican replacement would have won a special election and that person would be running in the current cycle. Nice and neat and tied up with a bow but as this line is discussing the Repervricans didn't wnat ot rock the boat and deal with an embarrasing situation or even more cynically maybe Foley has some dirt on his brother Re-perv-ricans

10. That's the point, he could have resigned, they could have appointed |
|
someone to replace him. Instead they not only allowed him to continue to sit on a caucus to protect children, THEY WERE RUNNING HIM FOR REELECTION. Isn't that the real story here? They really don't care about morals or children, they care about maintaiing CONTROL ON CONGRESS!!

Indeed, this makes one think about The Franklin Coverup and how far entrenched the entire R party still is?

12. He's not a pervert, he's a PEDOPHILE |
|
And we need to be relentless about forcing this point. The republicans are all too happy to have gay and pervert interpreted to mean the same thing, but the point is NOT Foley's sexual orientation; the point is that Foley is a PEDOPHILE, and he was protected as such by the house leadership.
