The "Arizona Republix " explains the housing angst today editorial.
Edited on Sat Sep-30-06 01:03 PM by Neshanic
"There are many, many places that are less pleasant to live in than our Valley. They have nasty winters, they have lousy economies, they have ridiculous costs of living. And to many people there, Arizona, for all its problems, still looks like paradise.

So they're going to keep coming here. Growth is not going to stop. There will continue to be a demand for homes, and someone's going to want yours someday. And you're probably going to get more from the sale than you paid for it, meaning you'll still make a profit unless you bought at an inflated price during the height of the speculation."

Solution....

"Go back to the basic reason for buying a house, which is to provide a decent place for you and your family to live, hopefully long enough that the place becomes associated with good times and happy memories."

Ahhh simplicity. That's what I love about them. It's always so simple.

2. Well, they're right.
Ecxcept for the bit about "Growth is not going to stop."

What do they think humans are a cancer on the face of the planet or something? Growth can't just continue indefinitely.
