1. I know the story already.
;)

But they say it's sure to be a major best seller.

4. I will read the book from the library - I've been burned one time
too many to support Woodward again. His last two books were just pandering to Chucklenuts and KKKarl so he could keep his cocktail party invites to the White House. He didn't mind ignoring the kids dying in Iraq or the trashing of the Constitution for his access.

He could include pictures of a naked Bush doing KKKarl on the table of the White House Situation Room with Falwell and Robertson diddling little boys in the background while Pickles downs shooters and Xanax watching. I wouldn't give him my money. He sold his membership card to real journalism a long time ago. That Chucklenuts is being burned by one of his "buddies" is just frigging justice.

2. WOW! Bob Woodward already finished his book about the Rep. Foley affair?

I guess it must be a real "page turner."

3. I refuse to enrich Bob Woodward after his a$$-kissing of Bush
in his previous books.

5. No.
I've read the excerpts in the paper today. That's enough.

I'm saddened at what kind of "journalist" Bob Woodward has become. This book doesn't atone for the basic Bush apologist Woodward is today. According to the article about "State of Denial" in today's Chicago Tribune, Woodward's last book was recommended reading at the White House. Jesus.

If he were alive today, I.F. Stone would be appalled at the kind of "journalism" Bob Woodward practices.

10. HELL NO.. he knew before 2004 that Rice blew off any
take about bin Laden before 9-11... That would have cost Bush tons of votes in 2004 IMHO...

11. Yes.
I tend to read a lot. It's one of 12 books that I now have on order. I will certainly post information, including quotes, on DU for those who are interested.

I too feel burned by Woodward's book "Plan of Attack" --which I just threw in a donation box for the library book sale.

So I don't feel inclined to actually buy this one, though I'm glad if it gives some former BushCo supporters something to think about.

12. I don't think so... I lost all trust in Woodward
I'll wait to see what other DU'ers say about it. I just finished Frank Rich's book "The Greatest Story Ever Sold" I highly recommend it.
