CA-04: Charlie Brown SMACKDOWN ON MARIANAS IN TV DEBATE on Doolittle!
Forced Abortion is a powerful issue indeed in this Republican district!

Click on the video and watch this. The reporters are clearly on the side of the Democrat and want answers.

Video: Congressman 'tolerated' forced abortions, sex slavery

Rep. John Doolittle (R-CA) knew of and tolerated forced abortions, sex slavery and sweatshop conditions in the Northern Marianas Islands, says his challenger.

Retired Lt. Col. Charlie Brown, Democratic candidate for California's 4th District, asserts Doolittle was aware of the abuses while he helped, with the aid of convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff, to fund the islands' government that allegedly exploited its workers.

In a debate on KCRA 3 TV News in Sacramento, Brown faced off against former Rep. Doug Ose, acting as a spokesman on behalf of incumbent Congressman Doolittle. Brown at one point says that Doolittle "got $10,000 from Abramoff's firm, the largest ever paid by Abramoff to a congressman."

Ose twice belittled the original accusations, saying, "o suggest that John Doolittle advocated for sexual slavery and forced abortions is just poppycock."

1. Bam! And the dirt is gone!
It certainly is heating up here in northern California! Though I see many "We Stand With Congressman Doolittle" signs, I certainly see many Charlie Brown bumperstickers on cars. It certainly is going to be close.

2. I'm very impressed with Charlie Brown
I've met him and he is a great candidate. He does very well in this interview. He also did very well at the fundraiser I attended full of SF Bay Area Dems. He's smart, dedicated, articulate, and seems very forthright and honest. I liked him. I think he has a 50/50 chance of winning this race which noone thought a Dem stood a chance of winning. He might pull it off.

SF Bay Area DUers: Please take a a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday and help walk precincts for Brown and McNerney. We have a chance to defeat some of the worst Republicans and take back the House.
