Perfect gifts for people who you want to become "informed" and win over

I was invited to a neighbors b'day party and I decided to give her a subscription to Vanity Fair - because she likes the magazine - and there's a lot of good articles re: BushCo. It's sort of a sneaky way to "get her informed." She voted for Bush both times but seems to be sort of on the cusp.

What's great is that it's not TOTALLY obvious - like giving her a subscription to a totally polital magazine. Another couple of magazines that would be good and not totally obvious is Rolling Stone, Atlantic and Newsweek isn't TOO bad (except for them publishing that lame cover).

From now on - that's the gifts I will be giving to people. There's also a few books that you could sneak past the Bush-lovers.
