What's better - their own readership is not falling for the SPIN!!

Regardless of the age of consent of a particular state/district, isn't soliciting sex from a child under 18 on the internet a federal crime?

Would it matter if Foley was in a state with an age of consent @ 17 while engaging (via internet) in sexual conversation/solicitation with that minor?

I believe that there is serious legal jeopardy for Foley in this, that is why he stepped down so quickly. There is much more to this than meets the eye.
