North Korea Tests Nuke - FOX Declares Victory for Bush!

Bush's 6-year refusal to negotiate with North Korea has produced its inevitable result: a nuclear-armed North Korea.

North Korea already has a missile capable of reaching Hawaii, Alaska and California - and soon enough will have a nuclear warhead to put on it. And Kim Il Jong just might be crazy enough to fire one at us.

Yet if you watch FOX News today, this is a victory for George W. Bush. Why? Because it has taken the spotlight off Mark Foley, Dennis Hastert, and the rest of the Republican House leadership for at least the next 10 minutes.

By that theory, it will be a victory for George W. Bush when North Korea actually hits us with a nuclear weapon, because that is highly likely to take the spotlight off Iraq and everything else Bush has FUBAR'ed.

1. But it hasn't taken the spotlight off Foley.

CNN reported on the nuke story, but immediately went to "breaking news" concerning Foley - an openly gay Republican has stated he warned Foley about inappropriate contact as early as 2000. I'm convinced the revelations about Foley aren't going to stop anytime soon and as long as they do, the MSM will report them.

Difficult to see how the Democrats are going to recover from this news. After all, they've been warning about this possibility for the last five years, and now it's come to pass, which means that they called it into existence.

Thank God George W. Bush is our leader at this time. Just imagine what horrible shape we'd be in if all these unfortunate events had happened with a Democrat in the White House! I mean, can you imagine any of this happening if Al Gore or John Kerry was in the White House? We'd be in a fix then, boy.

The GOP is wa-a-a-a-ay ahead of this one; they've been ready to blame it on Clinton for years. Just watch the news shows, you'll see. The Bush presidency doesn't really begin until he's been out of office for a couple of years, when suddenly everything starts going right again. It will be the merest coincidence that anything is going right simply because we've abandoned every last one of his short-sighted disastrous policies. Just like all that economic growth during the Clinton years was the payoff (finally!) of Reagan's borrow-and-spend, voodoo economics.

5. I was wondering if the WH was going to try and spin this ...

and turn it into something that it is not. It is clearly another failure of the GWB diplomatic strategy and there are even a nmber of Republicans that are saying that refusing to meet with the North Koreans is a mistake. I really have wondered the real reason that GWB won't meet with North Korea or Iran and I am clueless.

Then Bush's defining moment was standing atop the rubble of 9/11. Now N. Korea setting off a nuke is "victory". I hate to see what happens when he hits the lottery.

10. This is so typical of the Republicans.

There is a report of a potential fire hazard in the outhouse. All GOP attention is on that structure. Meanwhile, inside the Manor house, a toddler, left unattended by his GOP caretakers, is playing with matches.

While plans are made to address the danger of the outhouse catching on fire, the toddler is tossing lit matches onto a stack of old newspapers.

With all attention focused on the outhouse, it is determined the best course is to burn it down instead of waiting for it to catch fire by itself. A controlled burn, if you will, to eliminate the danger later on.

So, while all resources are spent on burning down the outhouse, and preventing the fire from spreading to adjoining structures and land, no one notices that the 15,000 square foot main Manor house is fully ablaze.

Who could have predicted such a thing? A toddler left alone, with matches, in a room full of old newspapers. Oh, and the Nanny left a note warning all to be sure not to leave the toddler alone, as he likes to play with matches... :eyes:

kim could go on a murderous rampage killing orphans, but as long as a steamy sex scandal dominates the U.S. interest, everything else falls flat.

Yes, the detonation of a nuke is nothing to laugh at, but given the fascism we live under, a sex scandal that is threatening to bring down moron* and his room full of dopes is the most important thing to me right now.

But then again, if moron* is so tough on his so called axis of evil, why did he* allow kim to have nuke?

Or was it all just a friendly call to a friendly axis to try and distract the nations attention from all his* problems? My tin foil hat theories get the best of me sometimes. :)
