Government workers got FAKE Diplomas?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061012/ap_on_go_ot/diploma_mill

SPOKANE, Wash. - At least 135 federal employees, including a White House staff member and National Security Agency employees, bought bogus online college degrees from a diploma mill, a lawyer in the case against the mill operators said.

Some of those who paid thousands of dollars for phony diplomas include a senior State Department employee in Kuwait and a
Department of Justice employee in Spokane, defense lawyer Peter S. Schweda said Wednesday.

Material provided to the defense by the Justice Department shows at least 135 government employees bought college or university degrees to use in seeking promotions or pay raises, Schweda said. The phony diplomas came from such places as St. Regis University, James Monroe University and Robertstown University.

1. This would not bother me...
...if it weren't for all of the people who did work hard for years getting their degrees and got passed up in the process. What they lost financially and in terms of building their careers can never be replaced.

in influential positions? It's not safe and endangers us all...Think Brownie...and all the young republicans placed in jobs in Iraq...

...that government was a racket. But then I remembered I'm a Democrat. :)

I'm a tad half way through Woodward's "State of Denial". Sadly, I think it's giving a real picture of the Bush administration. Basically, they're an incompetant, scatterbrained, self-centered, game-playing bunch of children. I don't think even they know what they're doing.

Add in the Senate and the Congress and multiply it by 100.

I say we kick everyone out and move the nation's capitol to New Orleans and built from scratch like everyone else there. Okay. Kidding.

I only know one thing. Democrats can do better than this. The greed, the corruption, the moral ambiguity - they can't pin that shit on us anymore. They own it now and it's their turn to go.
