5. Too many Dem candidates didn't do enough to seal the deal

Instead of framing their debates and taking lessons from George Lakoff, they simply ran the same ol' same ol', which really frustrates me. I would say that this even applies to some of our local candidates, even though I will support them over the local Repukes.

Despite the news that the Dems should take over the House and Senate, I'm still awaiting the dirty tricks of KKKarl. He doesn't have an ounce of decency or respect for this country or Constitution - so anything is fair game to him. Nothing - absolutely NOTHING surprises me with him and his cowardly ways.

12. crap shoot. I was optimistic about Kerry in '04.

Bush had lower approval ratings than any president ever re-elected, despite being restrained and polite, Kerry smoked Bush's ass in the debates. Kerry said they had lawyers watching polling places and prepared to go to court over irregularities. Then he won in the exit polls, the vote didn't match, so the polls were changed, and Kerry--surrendered.

That's why it's a crap shoot. Even if there's a fairly overwhelming vote against Bush, it will depend on far the GOP will go with voter intimidation and vote rigging, and how easily the Democrats will fold in the face of that.

Those things are hard to quantify. If this year's candidates follow Kerry's example, as soon as the GOP clears their throat and says "ahem," the Dems will throw down their weapons and come out with their hands up.

It also depends on how much the Chamber of Commerce and the financial elite have lost faith in Bush to carry their water.

Diebold concerns me. The fact that we've heard nothing about it concerns me even more.

If the Dems win they will be better then the Republicans unless they do something really stupid like push for Mandatory National Service Rahm Emmanuel has suggested it.But it probably won't pass so I'll still vote Democrat but with all the anti-immigrant rhetoric from Hillary Clinton and Harold Ford Jr. taking credit for supporting a terrrible bankruptcy bill I'm afraid some Dems are going to act like Repubs but I'll still vote Democratic and take my chances

I'm exhausted with GOTV every Saturday, when I see the same people every time, and not many others bothering to show up. AI have a co-worker that believes everything the GOP Gov candidate says on his commercials, and how the Dem "plea bargained" heinous criminals (The Dem is a 10 year DA), but I see poll numbers and Dem signs in Repub neighborhoods, and GWB is not at all popular right now.

My only real hope is that the GOP sees how big this is going to be, so they won't even try to rig e-votes lest they be exposed as election thieves, but I'm afraid that I'll be very mistaken in that. God, I pray that I am wrong, and they don't steal it this time. 2004 was a punch in the gut for me. Nothing ever sticks to this man. He just parades on TV as smug as ever, no matter what scandals hit him, and I don't think I can handle another "I have political capital" speech again.
