ACTION ALERT: Specter must condemn GOP attacks on Michael Fox.
If Arlen Specter has any true decency he would condemn GOP attacks on Fox.

And do it FORCEFULLY.

NO Republican attacked Fox when he made a similar ad in support of Specter's candidacy in a tight race in Pennsylvania in 2004.

NO Democrat attacked Fox for it - we understood WHY he was doing it.

Call Arlen Specter's offices today. Call every one of them if you can.

1. Fox isn't asking for this. He's not wanting this to be a partisan issue.

2. That's the point. We are STRESSING that Fox was not partisan about it.
And Specter knows damn well what the truth is. Time for Specter to show some of his own decency - Michael Fox showed his.

3. It's an election season why would Spector do that?
Fox has lots of respect for spector. The priority is stem cell research. Spector is doing his part on that issue. I don't think Fox wants or needs a night in shining amour defending his honor. That wasn't the impression I got from the CBS interview. He wants support on the stem cell issue and Spector has been doing that.

4. WE didn't turn it political. WE act because it's the RIGHT THING TO DO
Don't do it if you don't want to. But, to discourage others from taking a positive action isn't cool, imo.

5. Spector needs to prove that he was not USING
Michael Fox now that Rush and all the Republicans are mocking his and Spector's condition.

Why the hell would Spector get a pass for supporting and enabling all the republican smears and mockery of Michael J. Fox when Fox CAMPAIGNED for Spector?

6. Fox wants Spector to support the stem cell bill and he did.
This is my opinion. You can say that Fox helped Spector. You can also say that Spector IS helping Fox in the manner he wants most, by supporting as a leader in the repub party, stem cell research. Fox is tough and he can stand up for himself. Seems to me from the interview I saw Fox is very greatful for all of the help he is getting from Spector. Fox has raised over 80 million dollars for his cause. He knows what he is doing. He is very intelligent. He doesn't want pity. He doesn't need republicans rallying around him to fight for his honor. He needs federal funding for embreonic stem cell research.

He defended himself very well against rush. rush's listeners wouldn't notice anything Spector would say anyway because they can only listen to the voice of rush thus the dittohead thingy.

Those who want to pressure Spector may do so. I'm just expressing my opinion.
