GOP has hit a new low in WV
In the latest commercial Republican Chris Wakim is running against Alan Mollohan they call Mollohan "a two bit crook and a political thug". Wakim started out in the gutter back in August. I have never hear him say anything about any issues just started slinging mud form the get go.

1. Wakim is one to talk
he can't tell the truth and he's been cited for breaking the no smoking ban in his club or restaurant or whatever it is

4. He was also cited for having illegal gambling machines
in his bar. He claims to be a Gulf War veteran and never left the USA.
His explanation for being a Gulf War veteran was that he trained troops to serve in the war. Well I was stationed in Germany in 1969 during the Vietnam war and have never claimed to be a Vietnam veteran, if you don't serve in country you can't claim to be a veteran of that war in my opinion. I heard he was personally summoned to the White House by Karl Rove and asked to run for Congress.

3. Wakim is a Cheney-bot......
He is accusing Mollohan of funneling money to his friends so they can start slush-fund organizations. The accusation is plainly not true. Mollohan has busted his hump trying to keep the wild spaces here in WV viable. For example, two recipients of Mollohan's funding are the Canaan Valley Institute, which studies and preserves a unique ecosystem here in the state as well as a destination for huge numbers of tourists. Also, Mollohan helps fund West Virginia Highlands Conservancy, which helps protect the Monongahela National Forest from indiscriminate development and resource-taking. These are not slush-funds, thousands of West Virginians benefit from his work and his largess.

Wakim, OTOH, is a piker. He has lied about his past education and military service. Worse still he is a handmaiden to Cheney. He will be poison for this state.
